Senior Applications Developer (Government)

This position requires office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week and is only located at customer's site.

AT&T has an opening for a Senior Applications Developer to support the day-to-day IT systems for our customized network solution in support of the federal government.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

This individual is a key member of the Applications Development team and is responsible for implementing the ServiceNow application to include, at a minimum, the ServiceNow IT Service Management suite and the platform. This individual works alongside supporting team members, partners/vendors, as well as Senior Leadership, to lead the design, development, testing, deployment, sustainment, and administering of the ServiceNow solution. They perform technical aspects of the ServiceNow implementation including: ServiceNow solution architecture, install, application UI, process automation, external integrations, access control, security hardening, workflow design/configuration, reporting, upgrades, and patching. They also provide ServiceNow focused consultation and technical leadership. They support the Technical Exchange Meetings, contribute to user facing documents, and are responsible for ServiceNow applications upkeep.



The job duties of the Applications Developer are as follows:

Performs designing, programming, testing and debugging ServiceNow and applicable scriptsPerform capacity planning, system tuning, problem analysis and hardware/software upgradesDevelop administrative policies, documentation, and procedures to ensure that ServiceNow is properly maintained and operatedPerform testing and establish system acceptance criteria on new or current hardware and softwareBuild service requests from customer requirements, request items, and tasksDetermine training needs and develop ServiceNow based guidelines tailored to the work environmentBuild client profiles and system configurations for software distribution equipmentRespond to system alerts and engage in troubleshooting and problem resolutionUse workflows to manage data flows from customers to support teamsUse scripting tools to process automation and perform integrationImport and export data across various enterprise applicationsPerform system and integration testing with sample and live dataMonitor the health and status of ServiceNow and applicable scriptsWork with IT managers to generate views and reports as neededAnalyze user requirements and current procedures to improve system capabilitiesInstall software releases and maintains data confidentiality, integrity, and availabilityConsult with clients, hardware and software vendors, users, system administrators, and engineersProvide technical support for development, test, and production environmentsExperience in Linux/Unix System AdministrationExperience in managing a Self-Hosted ServiceNow instance and upgrading ServiceNow Core applicationsAssess existing ServiceNow usage and recommend forward evolution to maximize efficienciesPerform integrations and process automation using ServiceNow OrchestrationUnderstand ITIL/ITSM processesUnderstand HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologiesMust be knowledgeable in the support and development of ServiceNow, Splunk, Nlyte, VMware, Ansible, etc.

Required Qualifications:

Five (5) years of experience as a Developer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity are required.Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university, a developer nanodegree, or equivalent work experience, is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree. Must comply with DoD 8570 IAT, Level 2 (Security+). Must be US Citizen.Our Senior Applications Developer's earn between $98,100 - $180,000. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
