Special Education Teacher for a 36‑week contract in Baltimore, Maryland, earning up to $55 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Conduct classroom instruction tailored to diverse learning styles.
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
Lead formal IEP meetings and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and intervention outcomes.
Adapt instructional materials to meet individual student goals.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to students in alternative learning environments.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Science Education or equivalent.
Maryland Special Education licensure/certification (SPED) required.
Valid authorization to work in the United States on a W2 basis.
Minimum 1 year of special education experience, including IEP development, case management, and progress monitoring/intervention support.
Experience working in diverse and/or alternative learning environments.
Strong student support, progress monitoring, and intervention skills.
Ability to collaborate with parents/caregivers and lead formal IEP meetings.
