Job Description

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding metal components according to specifications, primarily working with aluminum. You will have the opportunity to work in a growing environment and contribute to our team's success.

Responsibilities

Weld metal components using TIG welding techniques, focusing on aluminum.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols accurately.Assemble and fit metal parts using welding equipment.Conduct quality checks to ensure compliance with AWS D1.1 standards.Operate machinery and tools, including forklifts, plasma cutters, and robotic welding systems, with opportunities for skill progression.Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.Support continuous improvement efforts within the team.Essential Skills

Proficiency in TIG welding, particularly with aluminum.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.Mechanical aptitude and experience with welding and fabrication.Familiarity with AWS D1.1 standards.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, and heliarc welding.1+ year of TIG welding on aluminum, with preference for 3-5 years of experience.Candidates with trade school completion are encouraged to apply.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This position is located in a small machine shop environment with a growing team. The role operates on a 2nd shift schedule, Monday through Thursday, from 4:30 pm to 2:30 am.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westminster, MD.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00/hr.
