The purpose of the part time tutor position is to provide academic support to CCBC students by promoting effective study habits and learning strategies to become independent learners. The tutor position supports student retention and the College’s mission to provide support and intervention to eradicate attainment gaps based on income, race, gender, and ethnicity. Salaries are based on education level.

Tutor I – (less than associate degree) $16.62 Tutor II - (associate degree) $17.85 Tutor III - (bachelor's degree or above) $19.07 Tutor IV -(Master's Degree) $21.54
Multiple vacancies available at multiple locations: Catonsville Campus, Dundalk Campus and Essex Campus. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Tutor I - Successful completion of nine (9) credits of college-level courses with at least a B average in the course(s) to be tutored and faculty recommendation.
Tutor II – Associate Degree with 3.0 GPA or higher in course (s) to be tutored.
Tutor III – Bachelor’s Degree with 3.0 GPA or higher in course (s) to be tutored.
Tutor IV – Maters Degree with 3.0 GPA or higher in course (s) to be tutored.
Demonstrated subject area competence.
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
Prior tutoring experience preferred.
