Martin J. Braun is hiring a Commercial Welder in the Baltimore-Washington area.
As a Commercial Welder, Your Primary Responsibilities will be:
Perform stick welding on various metals including steel, stainless steel, and copper.
Assemble, install, and repair piping systems and structural components as specified in project plans.
Inspect welds for accuracy, structural integrity, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
Operate welding tools and equipment safely, following all company and OSHA regulations.
Maintain welding tools and equipment, ensuring proper function and cleanliness.
Collaborate with project managers, plumbers, and HVAC technicians to complete installations efficiently and on schedule.
As a Commercial Welder, You Must Have the Following Qualifications:
3+ years of Commercial Welding Experience in pipe welding
AWS 6G position carbon steel stick welding certification (at a minimum - for pipe welding) and able to pass 6G weld testing recertification if required
Able to perform construction tasks, i.e. climbing ladders, stairs, and scaffolding, work in non-smoking facility, assist in off-loading materials and equipment, assist field personnel with installation of pipe assemblies and HVAC equipment
Knowledge of Electric & Gas weld machines & accessories
Knowledge that our piping installation must comply with ASME B31.9 standards for building services piping
Perform welding operations in a productive and safe manner
Reliable, law conforming vehicle transportation
Up to date Real ID driver's license
American citizen with confirming documentation
Great attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
Great communication skills.
Strong relationship building skills; customer focused and disciplined.
Ability to obtain security clarence
As a Commercial Welder, You Should Have the Following Qualifications:
Stick welding (minimum) carbon steel piping
MIG/TIG (optional for now but a plus)
Onsite in place welding/Offsite shop prefabrication welding

Wage Range: Base Rate $40-$45/hour with Davis Bacon Scale of $71.11
