BALTIMORE — Mayor Brandon Scott has announced the upcoming Mayor’s Annual Spring Cleanup and Day of Service, inviting all Baltimore residents and volunteers to take part in this community initiative.
The event is set for Sunday, April 25, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Residents interested in participating can register by calling 311 or visiting the official volunteer sign-up page.
The registration period will remain open until April 18, 2026. Those who sign up will have the opportunity to request debris collection, with city trucks scheduled to pick up trash after 1:00 p.m. on the cleanup day.
Participants can receive up to five cleanup bags, while community groups and neighborhood associations can request up to 50 bags. Cleanup bags can be collected at designated locations until April 20, 2026, and participants must provide a service request number to obtain the bags.
It is important to note that during the cleanup event, the Department of Public Works (DPW) will not be collecting bulk trash items, and roll-off dumpsters will not be available.
Students in grades 3 through 12 can earn service-learning hours by participating, with the potential to earn up to four hours. For those interested in obtaining a Service-Learning Verification Form, they can reach out to Keita Wells via email.
Additionally, volunteers may qualify for a stormwater fee credit, earning $10 for each certificate, with a maximum of three certificates per year, totaling up to $30 in credits.
For further details regarding the stormwater fee, residents can visit the city’s website or call the provided contact number.
