Fatal Motorcycle Collision with Bus in Glen Burnie

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Md. — A motorcycle accident in Glen Burnie has led to the death of a local man.

Authorities reported that the incident occurred around noon on Ritchie Highway at Holsum Way. According to police, a Ford E450 bus was making a turn onto Holsum Way from the southbound lane of Ritchie Highway while the light was green.

At that time, a motorcycle, which was reportedly speeding, collided with the side of the bus. Fortunately, there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash.

The motorcyclist, identified as a 51-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The bus driver, a 39-year-old woman, did not sustain any injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident is ongoing.
