MTA Police Bring Joy to Local Families Through Holiday Program

BALTIMORE — The Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) Police are continuing their tradition of spreading holiday cheer through the 'Adopt a Family' program, which has been uplifting local families since its inception in 2003.

On December 23, officers from the MTA Police, accompanied by Santa and Mrs. Claus, delivered holiday meals, gifts, and essential supplies to families associated with The Historic Samuel Coleridge Taylor Elementary School in Baltimore City.

This annual initiative has positively impacted over 250 families from various local schools, showcasing the MTA Police's commitment to community service.

In addition to the 'Adopt a Family' program, the MTA Police engage in several other community-oriented activities, including participation in the Polar Bear Plunge, the Torch Run for the Special Olympics of Maryland, National Night Out, and a back-to-school supply drive.
