ESSEX, Md. — The Baltimore County Police Department is currently investigating the discovery of human remains found on Friday morning.

Officers were dispatched to a location near Route 702 and Interstate 695 at approximately 11:25 a.m., following reports of the remains being located in a tributary of the Back River.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the remains could be those of Kimberly Gordon, a 46-year-old woman from New Jersey, who was last seen on June 21, 2026, at 2 p.m.

The remains have been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy will be conducted to verify the identity and determine the cause and manner of death.
