A family attending a Morgan Wallen concert at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on July 18 experienced a shocking incident when a man allegedly urinated on them, including an 8-year-old girl. Troy Grevelding, who traveled from upstate New York with his family from North Carolina, described the event as distressing and unexpected.
Initially believing that someone had spilled a drink, Grevelding soon discovered the reality when his wife alerted him to the foul situation. He turned around to find the man with his pants down, exposing himself while urinating on his family.
Grevelding quickly attempted to remove the man from their seating area, but the situation escalated as the man continued to urinate on other concertgoers nearby. Frustrated by the lack of immediate police response, Grevelding took to social media to express his outrage, which led to increased media attention on the incident.
Maryland Transportation Authority Police confirmed that they are investigating the matter. A spokesperson stated that an active investigation is underway, although it remains unclear if any arrests have been made.
Grevelding reported that he felt the police did not take sufficient action at the time, stating, “When they told me they were just going to let him walk away, I lost it.” He also criticized stadium staff for not offering assistance to his family, particularly his niece, following the incident.
Legal experts noted that while the alleged actions of public urination, indecent exposure, and second-degree assault are misdemeanors, police may not have been able to arrest the man at the scene since the actions did not occur in their presence.
Grevelding is currently exploring his legal options and has been in contact with police detectives regarding the investigation. He expressed deep concern for his niece, stating, “You could have just mentally destroyed this kid for the rest of her life.”
