BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. — An open water rescue operation took place over the holiday weekend near Hart Miller Island, following a boat capsizing incident.
According to fire officials, six individuals found themselves stranded in the water after their vessel overturned. The rescue teams located all six individuals just before midnight, although the boat had capsized more than two hours earlier.
Fortunately, all six were evaluated on-site, and there were no major injuries reported. Fire officials noted that multiple boating incidents were reported throughout the evening, emphasizing the importance of safety on the water during busy holiday periods.
