Baltimore Police have announced that a 16-year-old male has been charged as an adult for the murder of a 35-year-old man earlier this year.

The suspect faces charges related to the shooting death of Quinton McLellan, which occurred on February 28 in the 1500 block of Ashland Avenue, located just north of Johns Hopkins Hospital.

According to police reports, the teenager was served with a murder warrant on Friday while he was already in custody for an unrelated matter at Juvenile Booking. Following this, he was transferred to Central Booking, where he was formally charged with first-degree murder, first-degree assault, and additional offenses.
