The role of the Program and Enrollment Specialist in the College of Graduate Studies is to attract graduate students, increase retention, promote student academic success, and provide services to empower student development. The Program and Enrollment Specialist serves as lead in supporting this mission and assisting the Dean of the College with the overall operations and administrative functions of Graduate Studies. This includes student enrollment, management of supplies, supporting event logistics, assisting in systems management, communication support, and other duties as assigned.Responsibilities:
Manage graduate admissions and student support.
Provide administrative structure and manage graduate student recruitment efforts.
Conduct relevant career/recruitment workshops for undergraduate students.
Recruit students through outreach visits at education fairs, professional group networking, site visits, informational sessions, social networking, and telephone/email follow-up inquiries.
Execute graduate student professional development activities.
Assist in development of proposals.
Conduct market research to provide forecasting of programmatic needs relating to creation of new programs and re-evaluation of current programs.
Provide upper tier quality control of thesis and research papers.
Manage and integrate data pertaining to students, programs, etc. into comprehensive reports.
Develop external community partnerships to expand student enrollment and professional opportunities.
Provide advisement/guidance to the Graduate Student Organization, Graduate Alumni Association and fund raising for graduate student support.
Other duties as assigned by the Dean, School of Graduate Studies.

Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s Degree
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of professional experience in admission or enrollment management.
Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITITES
Must demonstrate excellent oral, interpersonal, written and organizational skills.
Ability to work under minimal supervision to meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize duties.
Ability to work as a team member and independently while developing strong collaborative relationships with colleagues, students, student services, and academic services units.
Ability to exercise excellent professional judgment and discretion, making decisions on a regular basis that impact student welfare and success.
Knowledge of student development and resources to promote student success.
Critical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to develop creative media pieces for recruitment efforts.
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office products.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.
Conditions of Employment:
