Teen Charged with Attempted Murder in West Baltimore Shooting Incident

BALTIMORE — A 17-year-old male has been charged with attempted murder related to a double shooting that took place in west Baltimore earlier this year, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

The incident occurred on May 18 at approximately 12:48 a.m. when officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1400 block of Wilmer Court. Upon arrival, authorities discovered two victims, a 21-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both individuals were promptly transported to local hospitals, where they were treated for injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Initial investigations indicated that the shooting originated from the 600 block of Mosher Street.

Following an extensive investigation, detectives from the Western District took over the case. On July 7, they arrested the 17-year-old suspect, who was subsequently taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility.

The teenager now faces charges of attempted first-degree murder in connection with the shooting.
